Sofia Guixà
EYEARTH is a creative project by Sofia Guixà, interweaving art and writing to inspire reflection and connection.
It’s hard for me to write about myself in the third person; it creates a sense of alienation often associated with prestige and worth, but at the cost of losing the artist’s essence. My name is Sofia Guixà, and my beliefs about what is right and true are constantly evolving. I am moved around the world by the depth of my feelings and experiences.
In recent years, I studied political science, philosophy, economics, and history in the Netherlands and Australia. Along the way, many setbacks shifted my reality. I realized that was not the path for me, and that my form of activism on this Earth would be through my artistic vision. I now focus on my passions: art, photography, social impact, sustainability, philosophy, and nature.
Currently, I’m working on a new project that addresses the growing alienation between humans and nature—whether it’s in terms of health, sustainability, or our very connection to the concept of nature itself. This project is deeply inspired by my research into German Romantic philosophers and artists, whose work explored the interplay between human experience, the natural world, and art.
We all see the beauty, pain, despair, love, sickness, fear, ugliness, and hope on Earth through different eyes—here are mine.
